Jeremy M. Cotliar, MD, attended Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, and received his medical degree in 2008. He then went on to serve his ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York (2009-2012). Furthermore, he conducted glaucoma surgery training at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine and a mini fellowship in LASIK surgery with Dr. Michael Vrabec in Appleton, WI. In addition, Dr. Cotliar received board certification in ophthalmology from the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). He is further certified in all of the MIGS (minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries), including the iStent, hydrus microstent, Kahook Dual-blade and the OMNI goniotomy/ canaloplasty. The MIGS are used either alone or with cataract surgery in mild-moderate glaucoma. Dr. Cotliar is also certified in the XEN gel stent for advanced glaucoma.
